Shop management software for restoration workFor builds that take months,
not afternoons.

Keeping track of a long restoration is its own job — where the money went, what's still on order, what you told the customer three weeks ago. This keeps it in one place.

The projects list in ProjectGarage: six restoration builds, from a 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback to a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, each with its status, unbilled work and margin on the quote.

Why this exists

I built this because I needed it myself.

I moved to the US for classic American cars. A '69 Mustang fastback came first, then a friend back home asked me to find and ship him a project — a 1963 Chevy C10 that needed real work before it could go. Then another request came in, and another, and suddenly I had a pipeline of builds and nothing but spreadsheets to keep track of them.

Nothing I could find fit how this kind of work actually goes, so I made something that did. It's still free while I get it right, and if you run a shop and give it a try, I'd really like to hear what you think — good or brutal.

What it does

01 — Customers & vehicles

Every car, and everything you've done to it

Your customers and their vehicles in one place — year, make, model, VIN, and the whole history of the work. So you're not digging through old notes to remember what you did last time.

02 — Project & budget

See what a job is really costing you

On a long build it's easy to find out you've gone over only when you write the invoice. You'll see the estimate and the real spend side by side as you go, so you can talk to the customer while there's still something to talk about.

A project's profitability: $16,222 of a $21,922 quote done, $7,599 of it cost, $8,623 margin.
03 — Parts & inventory

Know what you have, and what it fits

Mark a part as generic or tied to a make, model and year range, so the stock room matches reality. If you already keep a list somewhere, you can bring the whole thing in at once instead of typing it out.

04 — Standard services

Set a standard service up once, reuse it forever

Brake job, full service, whatever you do over and over — save it once and the usual parts come off the shelf automatically next time, matched to the car in front of you.

05 — Estimates

Send an estimate, get an answer

Build it from the actual work on the job, email it, and the customer clicks yes or no. No phone tag, and no wondering whether they ever opened it.

06 — On the shop floor

Works on your phone, not just the office computer

Add parts, check stock and update a job from wherever you are in the shop. You shouldn't have to walk back to a desk to write something down.

07 — Customer updates

Answers “how's it going?” for you

Your customer gets a private link to see where their car is, what's been done and what it's costing. No account to set up — just their email. Fewer calls in the middle of your day, and you don't write a word.

The page a customer opens from their private link: their 1969 Mustang Fastback, its status, and each finished step with its date.
08 — Restock

Tells you which car the part was for

When something you were waiting on finally shows up, you'll know which job it belongs to — and if two of them are waiting on it, you decide who gets it.

09 — Invoices & getting paid

Getting paid, without the chasing

Turn a finished job into an invoice. Paid by card through Square or Stripe, it closes itself. Paid by bank transfer from the QR code, Shop and Unlimited match the deposit to the invoice and you confirm it.

An invoice for the Mustang: teardown and quarter panel repair, labor and parts, $7,557 total due.
10 — Getting started

Set up in a few minutes

The first time you sign in it walks you through the handful of things it needs to know — your rates, your tax, how you want your paperwork to look. Skip anything you're not sure about and come back to it later.
